ONE closet. Infinite looks. ⚡️
Getting the most out of your precious threads.

Greetings Gents,
One of my favorite things in life, is controlling my mood and keeping my spirits lifted by putting together stylish outfits. Especially for important meetings or weekday trips to the office. We all get stuck or bogged down with our routines, and there’s nothing better than breaking out of the monotony, with classy items you love. However, things get a little challenging once you start feeling that you’ve run out of options of what to wear. But you don’t always need to go shopping for something new. What better way to invent more looks, than by going shopping in your own closet?
This, my friends, is where mixing up stylish pieces comes in. Perfecting the art of mixing up suit jackets and trousers, takes a little skill at first, but it’s a piece of cake once you get the hang of it. For starters, I suggest keeping it simple by sticking to one dark shade, and one light shade for striking contrast play. Navy trousers are always a solid foundation for these types of outfits. In addition, a killer pocket square is the secret to spicing up a no tie professional look, especially when paired with classic loafers and a sleek carrying case.
Heat is also a major factor at the peak of summer, so consider trading your dress shirts for a breathable short sleeve polo. Just make sure it has a sturdy collar, that lays down and stays neat: a common issue with many polo shirts on the market. Thankfully, our vintage polo collection was designed for just that in mind, with a reinforced retro collar, that stays perfectly in place both buttoned & unbuttoned. My favorite part about the Polo + Blazer combo, is that it’s a 2-in-1 with an enclosed jacket look that keeps you looking the part, or with a standalone polo and trouser, that’s a bit more suitable for the mid day heat waves, and the chaos of running back and forth on more eventful days. You can see more details of this outfit in our most recent style breakdown video.
And that’s it. A few tricks to stretch your work week looks…and to beat the heat in style. I’ve also added a bonus outfit card below, as additional inspiration for a polo inspired suit break up. With that said, I’d love to see what creative looks you Gents come up with, so feel free to send pictures of your suit break up outfits by replying to this email - for a chance to be featured in an upcoming SG Style Review Newsletter segment and to also win a $500 S-Gents Voucher 😎.
(**Please kindly ensure images have a clean background i.e. plain wall or simple backdrop so that your outfit is clearly visible and can be considered for the drawing.)
It’s always fun to see how our SG Family is rocking the threads, and what clever looks you Gents are putting together. Hope you’ve enjoyed this read, and I’ll catch you all on the next one. ✌🏾
Sincerely,
Fola
