In the meantime, I’d like to run through a few outfit ideas for the season. Different styles for different occasions or lifestyles. Also, a bit of inspiration for some new item pickups or simply personal styling inspo for items that you already own.

  1. The Biker Jacket

The Biker Jacket has been a menswear staple for decades, and it’s usually known to be more of a roughneck or rigged item. However, the Southern Gent Signature Leather Biker and classic cut of this jacket allows it to be dressed up casually as I’ve done here with these dress trousers, tailored for a boot cut fit. Paired with a turtleneck sweater and our stacked heel chelsea boots for additional sophistication. To complete the look, I added a vintage trucker hat to keep things sporty & playful. I love this outfit for a night out with friends. It’s one that’ll definitely stand out from the crowd but without trying too hard.

  1. The Navy Blazer + Tennis Sweater

Whether it’s having fun with your office or business style, or prefer to present yourself in a polished manner, you can do a lot with your suiting items, especially when you choose to break them up strategically. I took my classic Navy Blazer, and fitted them with a set of Brass Buttons from our new button pack set. I’ve also decided to pair them with light colored tan trousers for a strong contrast, along with a set of dark brown suede loafers for a bit of texture. Finally, for the cherry on top, I’ve always loved the punch of a solid tennis sweater vest. It really drives home that Ivy League appeal, and serves as the focal point for the entire outfit. Definitely an item we’re considering carrying in timeless color ways for Fall/Winter 26.

  1. The Camel Coat

We are all familiar with the denim on denim combo aka the 'Canadian Tux'. But layering over this pairing is not something you'll see done often. The first start is of course, opting for a denim vest as opposed to a jacket to retain comfort. Camel pairs extremely well with denim, so the double-breasted overcoat was a no brainer, especially after pairing it with the green dad hat, for a subtle touch of color. For footwear, you could never go wrong with shades of brown, so the two-toned lug loafer seemed to be a fitting choice for this laid back ensemble. Overall, this outfit comes together for a casual, classy, cool approach for bouncing around from place to place as you visit friends and family over the holidays.

  1. The Varsity Jacket

A varsity jacket is usually my go-to for the days I find myself traveling, shopping, or running errands around town. For this build I started off with the comfy but minimalist Adidas Gazelle Sneakers, and combined them with a pair of our black cargos unzipped and flared. Almost any jacket or coat option would have worked, but I chose to go with the varsity primarily because it’s extremely comfortable to move around in all day, hugs the body nicely, but most of all doesn’t compromise on a dose of elegance which this outfit really needs. And when it comes to accessorizing, stuffing a slightly contrasting bandana in the side pocket, has been one of my favorite ways to style cargos recently.

  1. The Quilted Overshirt

Sometimes you just don’t know what life will throw at you. Perhaps you’re meeting new friends or family members, or heading out to an unfamiliar location like a new bar or restaurant, and are unsure of how to dress. Insert the overshirt here. The dress shirt, padded with enough insulation to rival a varsity jacket. It’s the perfect blend between classy & casual. I went with a semi monochromatic theme for this one, pairing this Aztec print overshirt with brown straight leg corduroy trousers and hiking boots, plus an off white fisherman beanie for much needed warmth.

And that wraps it up. Whether you’ve got plans with your favorite people, holiday dates with that special someone, or are looking for ways to spice things up at the office, I hope you’ve picked up a few outfit ideas you love from this week’s style note.
